1.Open battery door on back of case.
2.Connect a 9-volt battery to battery clip.
3.Insert battery into case and replace battery door.

USING THE DETECTOR
Selecting mode : Voltage ,Stud and Metal scan.
ON: Press and hold ON / OFF button on the left side.
OFF: release ON / OFF button.

SCANNING IN STUD MODE
Use Stud mode for depths to about 3/4 in(18mm).
Slide the switch to the " STUD" position.
Position the detector flat against the wall. Press and hold ON / OFF button.
The power LED will lights and the detector now ready to operate.
Slowly slide unit horizontally across wall, left or right. Keep the unit base in contact with the wall. When the " Stud" LED lights and the unit starts emitting a steady tone (by this the unit detects the edge of a baton),mark the spot over top centre of the head of detector. Move the unit slowly from right to left, horizontally across the wall , mark the spot when stud detects again. Between the two spots is the stud position.Because the unit is sensitive at detection you should repeat the process to confirm position of studs and batons.

SCANNING IN METAL MODE
Metal can be detected up to 1 1/2 in (38mm)deep. Copper pipe can be detected up to 30mm
Side the switch to the " METAL" position.
Press and hold ON / OFF button. Calibrate the unit in air. Away from metal objects. Position unit flat against wall.
Move the unit slowly from left to right, horizontally across the wall, when the “Metal” LED lights and the unit starts emitting a steady tone (by this the unit detects the edge of metal), mark this spot on the wall .(over top centre of the head of detector.) Move the unit slowly from right to left, horizontally across the wall, mark the spot where metal detects again. Between the two spots is the metal position.

SCANNING IN VOLTAGE MODE
Side the switch to the “VOLTAGE” position.
Press and hold ON/OFF button. Calibrate the unit in air. Away from objects. Position unit flat against wall.
Move the unit slowly from left to right, horizontally across the wall, when the “VOLTAGE” LED lights and the unit starts emitting a steady tone (by this the unit detects the live wire), mark this spot on the wall .(over top centre of the head of detector.) Move the unit slowly from right to left, horizontally across the wall, mark the spot where wire live detects again. Between the two spots is the live wire position.
